An In-Depth Look at Drones

In recent years, domestic and foreign UAV-related technologies have been developing rapidly, and UAS are diverse and characterized by a wide range of uses, resulting in large differences in size, mass, range, flight time, flight altitude, flight speed and other aspects. Due to the diversity of UAVs, there are different categorization methods for different considerations:

Classified by flight platform configuration, UAVs can be categorized into fixed-wing UAVs, rotary-wing UAVs, unmanned airships, parachute-wing UAVs, flutter-wing UAVs, and so on.

Classified by use, UAVs can be categorized into military UAVs and civil UAVs. Military drones can be divided into reconnaissance drones, decoy drones, electronic countermeasures drones, communication relay drones, unmanned combat aircraft, and target aircraft, etc. Civilian drones can be divided into inspection drones, agricultural drones, meteorological drones, and surveying and mapping drones.

By scale, UAVs can be categorized into micro UAVs, light UAVs, small UAVs and large UAVs.

Classified by activity radius, UAVs can be categorized into ultra-proximity UAVs, proximity UAVs, short-range UAVs, medium-range UAVs and long-range UAVs.

Classified by mission altitude, UAVs can be categorized into ultra-low altitude UAVs, low altitude UAVs, medium altitude UAVs, high altitude UAVs, and ultra-high altitude UAVs.

Drones are used in different industries:

Construction Contracting: For contractors who work in a city for a long period of time, overhead costs such as repeated surveys are eliminated.

Express Industry: Amazon, eBay and other e-commerce companies can use drones to complete rapid delivery, Amazon has just announced its intention to use drones to solve the problem of delivery program.

Clothing Retail Industry: Pick the clothes you want, and after some time the drone will 'airlift' your choice to hand. You can try on whatever you want in your own home and then 'airlift' back the clothes you don't want.

Vacation Tourism: Resorts could plant their own drones at all their attractions. This would really make for a better decision-making experience for consumers - you'd feel closer to the attractions and be more bold in your travel decisions.

Sports and Media Industry: The special camera angles of drones are wonderful angles that many professional photographs will never be able to reach. If all professional venues could incorporate drone photography, the average person's experience of big events would certainly be greatly enhanced.

Security and Law Enforcement: Whether it's a security mission or a law enforcement mission, if an 'eye' could be placed in the sky, police officers could easily understand key areas to watch out for, and more criminals could be subdued. Firefighters can also use drones to carry fire hoses, sprinkle water from the air to put out fires, or extinguish fires from tricky angles that are difficult to reach by human power.

* The potential for drones to help law enforcement is also unlimited - drones will be needed to write speeding tickets, stop robberies, and even terrorism suppression.
